There was a flower in her hair, though it was dry,
And beneath her eyes spun tired hues of reds and blues;
The simplicity of her equity was a necessity-
Yet alone at night she would lay awake, with love at stake.
There are some things which we analyze, compartmentalize,
And this is one which was forgotten over time;
For when we are living our lives to the fullest,
It is those who are oldest with knowledge of life.
So when we sit here and waste away, made of clay,
There is only one cure for this mistake: run away;
For the day is chasing those who do not use their rights,
And what is given should be never cease being utilized.
Someone brought us into existence, and begged repentance,
Yet we stood at a distance and created sins;
There is this idea that we must pray to be okay,
Still I find beauty in the simple things you say
Tears from the sky fell on her dainty little head
Colors from all around swam excitedly across her blue veins;
Wishing for a sign, probably a divine intervention
There was none but the flutter of a butterfly
With its 12,000 eyes shifting in all directions
She felt the prick of thorns that every evening promised
Fragrant petals wore her porcelain skin and long silver hair
A chair rose from the murky grounds, a throne;
It welcomed our hesitance, it danced on her doubts
As the piano plays on, a devoted harp joins in along too
She eyes the cottony skies and witnesses the falling
Of forsaken angels, floating promises and glass
Yesterdays, tomorrows and right now were in perfect gray suits
As the lights from the forest exit their way
Into her blushing pulse they carved a little message:
Tonight you are not real, tonight you are so much more
Let your heart fly, tonight life dreams of you with its eyes open
