For several years,
she tried to reach for the stars.
“You can do it sweetheart,”
her mom said.
She believed her.

For several more,
she tried yet again to touch the stars.
“Just a little more honey,”
her dad said.
She believed a little more.

For quite some time,
the stars seemed too far to reach.
“Just… a little stretch…”
she whispered to herself.
She almost had them.

Finally, she was high enough
“I got you now!”
she exclaimed to herself.
She reached… and down fell
to the floor, the stickers of stars.
